Omar Albarbari
Hello, I’m Omar, and I’m a rising Senior at Belmont High School. It’s great to see you here!
I created my first ever game on Scratch when I was 7 years old. Since then, STEM has been my passion, and its been a beautiful companion in life. Over the years, I’ve gone on to explore robotics, game development, 3D design, drones, machine learning, and real-life experience with technology internships at robotics companies. In high-school, I’ve taken 16 AP classes, and with nearly every STEM AP under my belt, I want to share this love of learning and STEM with all of you here at Belmont Makers!
My goal is to help everyone explore their passion for STEM, and help them learn and discover what they may be interested in. I believe that what someone is truly passionate for and in love with comes straight from the heart, so I want to give the most freedom here at Belmont Makers to explore and experiment with any type of STEM in a safe and fun way. If there are any questions or ideas, I would love to sit down and talk about any STEM passion with all of you!

Yassin Abdelazim
Hey, I’m Yassin, and I’m a rising senior at Belmont Highschool.
My interest in STEM began with a simple spark of curiosity, and that spark has led me to research projects, scientific conferences, and opportunities to share science with others.
I have conducted research on supramolecular amphiphiles for greenhouse gas capture using magnetic levitation techniques. This work earned the Rising Star Award from the New England Section of the American Chemical Society and the Best Poster Award at the Arab Harvard Conference.
Beyond research, I regularly volunteer at science outreach events hosted by the American Chemical Society, helping students explore topics such as magnetic levitation, coding, circuits, lasers, quantum science, and surface tension through hands-on activities. More than anything, I hope every student leaves Belmont Makers STEM Camp with the same spark of curiosity that started my journey, the confidence to ask questions, build things, and discover new passions.
I look forward to meeting you this summer.
